MathCEP

Grants Information

In 2005-06, MathCEP received a total of $137,986 in teacher professional development grants. The Minnesota Higher Education Services Office granted $42,995 as part of the Improving Teacher Quality Program of the No Child Left Behind Act.  The Minnesota Department of Education granted $89,991 as part of the Minnesota Mathematics and Science Partnership Program of the No Child Left Behind Act.  The ISA/Park City Mathematics Institute granted $5,000.

These grants funded three summer 2005 professional development courses and the development of a Twin Cities Professional Development and Outreach Group (TCPDO). Courses and Network activities improved the mathematics content knowledge of 42 elementary and middle school teachers, and enabled them to work closely with peers, University faculty members and Masters students in Mathematics/Math Education.
